A busy week for the Beaver Scouts.
We would like to thank Father John for teaching the beavers archery on Thursday evening, they thoroughly enjoyed it.
Then it was the Beaver Space Badge Sleepover on Friday. Packed with games and activities and even a night time movie.
Thanks to Cub Leader Rhys, Scout Leader Matthew and Group Treasurer Shaun for pitching in and helping make it a fun filled 20 hours.
We had 8 Beavers and 2 Cub Helpers.
Glow Stick Bowling and Hoop La was good fun.
Then we turned them into night lights, ready for the film.
Pizza Making was tasty.
All ready for the relay race on planets.
Hard at work designing Rockets.
And the straw rockets fly!
Time to go home, who enjoyed the sleepover 🙂
It was very early on Sunday the 11th when the coach picked us up, there were some very bleary eyed leaders 🙂
We were very lucky with the weather all day, it was bright and dry.
The children had a chance to try climbing, crate stacking, zip wires, archery, a straw maze, laser tag, inflatables, bucking bronco, helter skelter, dodgems, quads and spider mountain. We could have easily spent two days there with so much more to do.
On the way back we took over the outside dining area of McDonalds for some well deserved happy meals.
A big thank you to everyone that came to the joint beavers and cubs night. The beavers seen how the Cub’s do their opening and learnt PACK ALERT and AT EASE. After a few games we got down to business CHOCOLATE LOGS! very messy but worth it as you can see from the below gallery. We also seen some excellent musical statues and dancing from everyone, good practise for Sundays Christmas Party see you all there.
Part two of the night completing activities for the experiment badge! Well done beavers!
We have a new leader in beavers, we all would like to give Toni a warm welcome to the beavers section.
Tonight the Beavers started the experiment badge and we have some fantastic looking volcanos in the making.
Keep up the good work beavers!
